Welcome to Startrek20in20! About the Community The idea for this group came from ![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png){kind=small} celeb20in20 and 10chevrons. I thought this was a fun idea and mixed both ideas of an icontest and making icon sets or 100 icons in a month.You will have 20 days to make 20 icons featuring a Star Trek character/actor. There will be 3 types of sets: 1. 10 default themes, which I will try to switch up each month. 2. 5 icon set following one Category (ie: color, each icon must be a different color.) 3. 5 icon set of Artist's Choice. This means you can make any icons you want. Challenges: •Themes: The themes set will include 10 themes like you would normally see in a 100 icon challenge. •Category: All icons in this set have a singular theme. •Artists Choice: This is fairly self explanatory. You get to pick the 5 icons you place in the set. Voting: •Themes: These will be voted only in categories. (ie: if the themes are happy, angry, singing, etc. Then all participants happy icons will be in one voting set. All angry icons will be in one voting set, etc.) •Category: These will stay in sets and will be voted on as sets. •Artists Choice: These will also be voted in as sets. In addition to voting for sets in Category and Artist's Choice, you will vote for 6 icons of your choice. Schedule Challenges Posted: First of Month Challenges End: 20th of Month Voting Posted: 21st of Month Voting Ends: 28th of Month Sign-ups Posted: 21st of Month Community Rules: •You will choose one Character or Actor from the Star Trek Franchise to make 20 icons with. •Only one icon maker can have the Character/Actor for that challenge. •You must choose a different Character/Actor back to back, but you can do every other challenge if you are able to request them before someone else. •You can only enter once per challenge, using one celeb per challenge. (no couples, groups, etc.) •Your icons need to be NEW and not made previously. No previous icons may be used. •Icons CAN be posted before voting goes up. •You will be given posting access to the group once you sign up for a Character/Actor. •You can either post to the group or link us to your journal. Make sure that your post in your personal journal is PUBLIC so that everyone can see them to vote. •When voting, please make sure you are not bias, even if you know who made what icon (since they are public before voting.) •Your icons need to fit livejournal standard of: under 40kb, 100x100 and either .png, .gif, or .jpg file format. •No participant can win more than two places in each section unless there isn't enough participation. •There is NO ANIMATION as this is a stills community, unless used as a theme. •Please make sure that there are no questionable content.
